“Glimmer”

Published July 29, 2020

Gino Miles’s 2007 stainless steel sculpture, Glimmer is located a few yards from the intersection of Fourth Avenue and Macomb, its minimalist, keyhole form reflects the surrounding environment and distorts it. Named for the “Glimmer of Hope” that the future brings, this work stands as a dedication to the residents of the neighboring housing complex.

“I often choose materials which can reflect, absorb, or blend with their surroundings. From blue skies to the reflection of the viewers themselves, each person’s experience will be entirely unique and the sculpture will forever respond to its current reality.” -Gino Miles
Silver, keyhole sculpture made from stainless steel. Minimalist and irregular in shape.
