“Blossoms” – Tall Art

Published August 17, 2020

A few years ago, @tallahasseearts and the Leon County Planning Department created the Tall Art Project as a creative solution to bare sign poles. Intended as a way for local artists to share their work, the project utilized various pieces printed on weatherproof vinyl to offer passersby an unexpected art encounter.

Located on S MLK between W Jefferson and W Pensacola street is Brinda Pamulapati’s installation of the acrylic painting “Blossoms” (2016). In this work, Pamulapati, trained in both art and mathematics and owner of the Venvi Art Gallery, shares an abstract bouquet and an explosion of color. Sometime this year, each pole location is scheduled to be transformed into a wayfinding tool; until then, you can enjoy these creative installations. For more information about the project, visit COCA’s website.
