Zida implements the museum’s education content and programming for diverse audiences; schedules and hosts museum visitor tour groups; participates in public events focusing on the interpretation of Museum exhibitions, interactive learning & guest artist presentations; develops and maintains professional relations with regional k-12 representatives, senior programs and other community-based art organizations; and monitors and implements social media and marketing campaign to promote events, exhibitions, and general interest.
Originally from Shishou, Hubei, China, Zida has visitor services, educational, and curatorial experiences at leading US museums such as the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Now Zida is a Ph.D. candidate at Florida State University, majoring in Museum Education and Visitor-Centered Curation. His research focuses on edu-curation, co-curation, and socially-engaged art.
