Meredith is a curator and artist who specializes in new media, interactive, and community engaged art. In addition to her role as curator of MoFA, she also teaches in the Department of Art. Prior to coming to FSU, she was the Director of Galleries at Indiana State University where she taught in the Department of Art and Design. She previously served as the Executive Director of the Nemeth Art Center in Park Rapids, MN.

Meredith is the Curator of the Museum of Fine Arts and Assistant Professor of Art. Through a collaborative process, she establishes the curatorial vision for the Museum and helps facilitate creative projects across the College of Fine Arts.

Research Areas
Meredith’s curatorial area of expertise is in contemporary art with a particular focus on community engagement and environmental art. In recent curatorial projects she has explored topics such as climate change, public health, and community resiliency. In her studio work, she uses a variety of media including installation, paint, books, and digital processes to explore issues of land ownership and management. With collaborator Katie Hargrave, she has done a series of projects in State and National Parks across the country.
Meredith has also conducted research on curatorial work as labor and has presented nationally on advocacy for museum workers.

Meredith’s artwork has recently been shown at the Knoxville Museum of Art (Knoxville, TN), Atlanta Contemporary (Atlanta, GA), Granary Arts (Ephraim, UT), the New Museum at Austin Peay State University (Clarksville, TN), the Morris Graves Museum of Art (Eureka, CA), the Wiregrass Museum of Art (Dothan, AL).
Meredith’s work has been supported through several grant opportunities, including the National Endowment for the Arts Art Works program (2020 and 2018), the Florida Council on Arts and Culture (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022), the Indiana Arts Commission Individual Artist Grant (2018), the National Endowment for the Arts Our Town program (2017), the Indiana Arts Council Masterpiece Grant (2016), and the Art(ists) on the Verge Fellowship (2015).
