In the role of laboratory and research site for capstone internships, MoFA is proud to open an exhibition drawn from the John and Mary Carter Collection of Pre-Columbian Artifacts. Curated by Elizabeth Spraggins (ARH doctoral program) with Carter textiles curated by Ann Durham (Instructor, Department of Retail Merchandising and Product Development), selections from the Collection are organized as ”Living the Landscape: Animated Beings in the Multisensory World of Peruvian Ceramics and Textiles, The John and Mary Carter Collection.”
The Pre-Columbian artifacts will be on exhibition through November 17th.
Also on exhibition are New Acquisitions from the MoFA Collection. Included in this exhibition are works by Harriet Bell, Mark Messersmith, Joan Miro, Philip Pearlstein, Pablo Picasso, Robert Rauschenberg and others that have recently been gifted to the Museum collection.
New Acquisitions from the MoFA Collection will be on exhibition through September 15th and from October 11th through November 17th.
